Judith Reiter was born in 1981 in Gmunden, Upper Austria. She started to play Violin at the Age of 5 and lateron discovered the Viola as her favourite Instrument. From the very beginning she was interested in playing chamber music. Soon she gained lots of experience playing with Orchestra, chamber music ensembles and also as a soloist in Austria, Germany, Spain, Denmark, England and Japan.

Besides Cassical Music she developed strong interests for Jazz, World Music, Free Improvisation, Experimental Styles and Old Music. She decided for a professional career and started studying Conservatory and University in Vienna. 2006/2007 she spent a year studying in Barcelona at ESMUC and 2008 made her Diploma after studies with Wolfgang Klos and Ulrich Schönauer. Since Judith enjoyed playing in unusual lineups e. g. “JuJu” (Saxophon, Viola), “Junyblau” ( Voice, Viola Piano) “Medellin” (Tap Dance, Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass, Piano), the czech Trio (Flute, Viola, Cello) or the Mehrdad Pakbaz Group she started composing and arranging for the Ensembles by herself.
